Wow! is what that came to mind immediately after I finished The Space Between: The Prophecy of Faeries by Susan Rooke.
This wonderful story pulled at my heartstrings. Each flawed character made me want to champion them. The main character, Mellis, is a gentle woman, who finds strength in herself while adjusting to a new, fantastical world. I loved observing her growing into the woman of the prophecy.
Ms. Rooke has given us a wonderful story of good versus evil, written with a fascinating parallel to fallen angels and demons.
This book has it all—unique characters, magic, and a very special dragon. An amazing read for fantasy lovers, with a subtle love story (or two) thrown in for an extra bit of entertainment.
